In the British Art on Paper including Original Book Illustrations auction, the work The Angler's Metamorphose sold for GBP 3,525.00 (€ 5,452.38) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Aubrey Vincent Beardsley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Design For The Front And First Page Of The Savoy Or Woman Fondling Grapes in November 2017 with an auction result of EUR 200,000.00.
