In April 2008 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings, which included the work The Reflection Of A Rain Cloud In The Micky Pool by Attasit Aniwatchon. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 87,500.00 (€ 7,211.11), 46% above the upper estimate. Other works by Attasit Aniwatchon have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of HKD 75,000.00 (€ 8,800.25) in May 2015 for the work The Party.
