This artwork by Athier achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Dubai in April 2012. In the Modern and Contemporary Arab, Iranian and Turkish Art Part II auction, the work Our Wounded King sold for USD 10,000.00 (€ 7,559.15) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Athier - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work You/Me/and Dark Matter, which sold at auction in October 2016 for USD 31,250.00 (€ 28,507.57).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Athier erzielte im April 2012 bei Christies in Dubai einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Arab, Iranian and Turkish Art Part II wurde die Arbeit Our Wounded King für USD 10.000,00 (€ 7.559,15) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Athier mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit You/Me/and Dark Matter beobachtet, die im Oktober 2016 für USD 31.250,00 (€ 28.507,57) versteigert wurde.
