Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Fuga dal cerbiatto by Ary Bitter was sold in the 19th and 20th Century Paintings and Sculptures auction at Il Ponte in November 2016. The price achieved of EUR 900.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 800.00 – 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ary Bitter achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Young Faun Playing His Flute in November 2019 with an auction result of EUR 15,000.00.

Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 900,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 800,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ary Bitter erzielen.
