Auction result well in line with expectations

The work " Lionne Couchée " by Ary Bitter was sold in the “Intérieurs du 20e siècle” Art deco, Prints, Editions, Design & More… auction at Artcurial in October 2012. The price achieved of EUR 772.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 700.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ary Bitter achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Young Faun Playing His Flute in November 2019 with an auction result of EUR 15,000.00.

Die Arbeit " Lionne Couchée " von Ary Bitter wurde im Oktober 2012 in der Auktion “Intérieurs du 20e siècle” Art deco, Prints, Editions, Design & More… bei Artcurial versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 772,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 700,00 – 800,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ary Bitter erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Young Faun Playing His Flute im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 15.000,00.
