Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2016 Sothebys in New York held the auction European Art, which included the work Italian sala Artistica by Arturo Ricci. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 81,250.00 (€ 76,810.36) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Arturo Ricci - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Italian l'Attesa, which sold at auction in May 2013 for USD 233,000.00 (€ 179,396.37).
