Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Hay Maker by Arthur Spooner was auctioned at Christies in London in March 2001. The price achieved of GBP 587.50 (€ 947.99) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arthur Spooner achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Goose Fair, Nottingham in June 2004 with an auction result of GBP 218,050.00 (€ 324,523.71).
