In August 2020 Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction California and Western Art, which included the work Standing Cougar by Arthur Putnam. The »bidding war« ended at USD 13,825.00 (€ 11,582.61), 38% above the upper estimate. Other works by Arthur Putnam have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 25,000.00 (€ 22,078.95) in November 2018 for the work Puma and Deer, or Puma Carrying Deer.
