In December 2020 Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction California and Western Art Online, which included the work Puma and Snakes (a posthumous cast) by Arthur Putnam. The »bidding war« ended at USD 3,825.00 (€ 3,127.56), 53% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Arthur Putnam have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Puma and Deer, or Puma Carrying Deer in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 22,078.95).

Im Dezember 2020 führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion California and Western Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Puma and Snakes (a posthumous cast) von Arthur Putnam zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 3.825,00 (€ 3.127,56) und damit 53% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Arthur Putnam auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Puma and Deer, or Puma Carrying Deer im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 22.078,95).
