The price achieved of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 8,892.38) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 8,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The Waking Moon is the most expensive artwork by Arthur John Black that we have observed at auctions so far.
