Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Painting 1937 by Arthur Jackson was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 32,500.00 (€ 37,011.44) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Arthur Jackson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Abstract Composition, which sold at auction in November 2012 for GBP 67,250.00 (€ 82,845.18).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Painting 1937 von Arthur Jackson kam im Juni 2017 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 32.500,00 (€ 37.011,44) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Arthur Jackson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Abstract Composition beobachtet, die im November 2012 für GBP 67.250,00 (€ 82.845,18) versteigert wurde.
