Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Holy Trinity, Stratford-On-Avon; And Guesten Hall (?), Worcester by Arthur Gilbert was auctioned at Christies in London in January 2004. The price achieved of GBP 564.00 (€ 825.03) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arthur Gilbert achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The road up Snowdon, North Wales; and Loch Maree, Scotland in March 2004 with an auction result of GBP 5,736.00 (€ 8,586.27).
