This artwork by Arthur Gerald Ackermann achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in February 2000. In the British and Continental Watercolours and Drawings auction, the work Bosham near Chichester sold for GBP 977.50 (€ 1,599.60) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 500.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Arthur Gerald Ackermann; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Blakeney Regatta; and High water - Overy Staithe sold at auction in May 2004 with the realized price of GBP 2,031.50 (€ 3,048.00).
