Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2006 a collector was able to acquire the work Kanarilaan - Bogor by Arthur Eland for EUR 780.00. This price was achieved in the auction Indonesian Art at Christies in Amsterdam and was even below the estimate range of EUR 800.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arthur Eland achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Paramaribo Harbour at sunset in March 2004 with an auction result of EUR 11,950.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2006 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Kanarilaan - Bogor von Arthur Eland für EUR 780,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Indonesian Art bei Christies in Amsterdam erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Arthur Eland erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Paramaribo Harbour at sunset im März 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 11.950,00.
