Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Red Nebuchadnezzar with Crows, c.1968-71 by Arthur Boyd was auctioned at Bonhams in Sydney in November last year. The price achieved of AUD 36,900.00 (€ 24,010.20) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arthur Boyd achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Australian Man Ploughing A Field in May 2007 with an auction result of AUD 660,000.00 (€ 405,821.75).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 36.900,00 (€ 24.010,20) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden.
