A top price for Arslan Sukan - as previously expected
In April 2012 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Art / Turkish, which included the work Shifted Memories by Arslan Sukan. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,500.00 – 4,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,599.27) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Shifted Memories is the most expensive artwork by Arslan Sukan that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im April 2012 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary Art / Turkish durch, in der auch die Arbeit Shifted Memories von Arslan Sukan zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.500,00 – 4.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.599,27) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Shifted Memories das teuerste Kunstwerk von Arslan Sukan, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
