Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Stand By by Armin Hansen was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in August this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 2,432.00 (€ 2,243.75). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Armin Hansen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Decoration in September 2015 with an auction result of USD 509,000.00 (€ 456,011.47).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Stand By von Armin Hansen im August diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 2.432,00 (€ 2.243,75) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Armin Hansen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Decoration im September 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 509.000,00 (€ 456.011,47).
