This work of art by Armin Buchterkirch could be acquired at Christies in New York in March 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction, the work Bahama Islands changed hands for USD 1,200.00 (€ 897.26) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Armin Buchterkirch - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Village Street In The Bahamas, which sold at auction in October 2007 for USD 5,000.00 (€ 3,455.90).
