This artwork by Armand Boua achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in March last year. In the Modern & Contemporary African Art | and CCA Lagos Benefit Auction auction, the work Untitled (4 Panels) sold for GBP 8,820.00 (€ 10,457.10) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Armand Boua - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled, 2016, which sold at auction in March 2019 for GBP 21,312.00 (€ 24,736.19).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 76 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Armand Boua erzielte im März letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern & Contemporary African Art | and CCA Lagos Benefit Auction wurde die Arbeit Untitled (4 Panels) für GBP 8.820,00 (€ 10.457,10) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Armand Boua mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled, 2016 beobachtet, die im März 2019 für GBP 21.312,00 (€ 24.736,19) versteigert wurde.
