In May 2000 Christies in Milan held the auction Arte del XX secolo, which included the work Paesaggio by Ardengo Soffici. The »bidding war« ended at ITL 25,850,000.00 (€ 22,169.81), 29% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Ardengo Soffici have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Case di Bulciano in May 2010 with an auction result of EUR 89,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 29 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2000 führte Christies in Mailand die Auktion Arte del XX secolo durch, in der auch die Arbeit Paesaggio von Ardengo Soffici zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von ITL 25.850.000,00 (€ 22.169,81) und damit 29% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ardengo Soffici auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Case di Bulciano im Mai 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 89.000,00.
