Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Transformation by Ardash Kakafian was auctioned at Sothebys in London in October 2019. It changed hands for a price of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,349.73) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ardash Kakafian have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in October 2014 with an auction result of USD 27,500.00 (€ 21,947.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Transformation von Ardash Kakafian kam im Oktober 2019 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.349,73) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 4.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ardash Kakafian auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 27.500,00 (€ 21.947,33).
