Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2011 a collector was able to acquire the work Greek eavesdropping by Apostolos Geralis for GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,296.24). This price was achieved in the auction European Paintings at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Apostolos Geralis have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Greek Young Girl By The Window in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 34,100.00 (€ 47,748.82).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2011 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Greek eavesdropping von Apostolos Geralis für GBP 6.250,00 (€ 7.296,24) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion European Paintings bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Apostolos Geralis auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Greek Young Girl By The Window im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 34.100,00 (€ 47.748,82).
