Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2010 Sothebys in London held the auction The Greek Sale, which included the work Greek Eavesdropping by Apostolos Geralis. The price achieved of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 21,968.23) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Apostolos Geralis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Greek Young Girl By The Window, which sold at auction in November 2007 for GBP 34,100.00 (€ 47,748.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2010 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Greek Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Greek Eavesdropping von Apostolos Geralis zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 18.750,00 (€ 21.968,23) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Apostolos Geralis mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Greek Young Girl By The Window beobachtet, die im November 2007 für GBP 34.100,00 (€ 47.748,82) versteigert wurde.
