Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art, which included the work Untitled (Man With Kite) by Anupam Sud. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000 - 10,000, the actual price achieved of USD 8,125 (€ 7,236) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Anupam Sud have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2008 the work was auctioned for GBP 10,000 (€ 12,720).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Man With Kite) von Anupam Sud zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000 – 10.000 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 8.125 (€ 7.236) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Anupam Sud konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2008 die Arbeit für GBP 10.000 (€ 12.720) versteigert.
