Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2015 Christies in London held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Evening Auction, which included the work Shrive X (Twisted) by Antony Gormley. The price achieved of GBP 362,500.00 (€ 511,120.45) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300,000.00 – 500,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Antony Gormley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Case for an Angel I in October 2017 with an auction result of GBP 5,296,250.00 (€ 6,038,761.70).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2015 führte Christies in London die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Evening Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Shrive X (Twisted) von Antony Gormley zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 362.500,00 (€ 511.120,45) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 300.000,00 – 500.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Antony Gormley erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Case for an Angel I im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.296.250,00 (€ 6.038.761,70).
