Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Two Friends by Antony Donaldson was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 12,689.66) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Antony Donaldson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Green Record in June 2017 with an auction result of GBP 137,000.00 (€ 156,017.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Two Friends von Antony Donaldson kam im November 2018 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 11.250,00 (€ 12.689,66) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Antony Donaldson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Green Record im Juni 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 137.000,00 (€ 156.017,44).
