Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Six O'Clock Cadillac by Antony Donaldson was sold in the Modern | British & Irish Art auction at Christies in London in April 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,541.11) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Antony Donaldson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Green Record in June 2017 with an auction result of GBP 137,000.00 (€ 156,017.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Six O'Clock Cadillac von Antony Donaldson wurde im April 2019 in der Auktion Modern | British & Irish Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 14.541,11) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Antony Donaldson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Green Record im Juni 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 137.000,00 (€ 156.017,44).
