In March this year Bonhams held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art, which included the work Portrait by Antonio Saura. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 44,400.00 (€ 50,513.58), 27% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Antonio Saura achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Crucifixion noire et rouge in February 2007 with an auction result of GBP 535,200.00 (€ 793,414.78).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 27 % übertroffen
Im März diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait von Antonio Saura zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 44.400,00 (€ 50.513,58) und damit 27% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Antonio Saura erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Crucifixion noire et rouge im Februar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 535.200,00 (€ 793.414,78).
