In the Old Masters Evening Sale auction, the work Westminster Bridge, London sold for GBP 749,000.00 (€ 875,702.52) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 300,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Antonio Joli - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Capriccio With The French Ambassador Approaching The King Of Siam’S Palace In A State Barge, In October 1685, Featuring The White Porcelain Pagoda, From Nanjing, China, On The Left, which sold at auction in October last year for USD 3,300,000.00 (€ 3,321,924.70).
