In December 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Masters Day Sale, which included the work Rome, A View Of The Colosseum And The Arch Of Constantine by Antonio Joli. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 206,250.00 (€ 243,763.36), 72% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Antonio Joli achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Capriccio With The French Ambassador Approaching The King Of Siam’S Palace In A State Barge, In October 1685, Featuring The White Porcelain Pagoda, From Nanjing, China, On The Left in October last year with an auction result of USD 3,300,000.00 (€ 3,321,924.70).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 72 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Masters Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Rome, A View Of The Colosseum And The Arch Of Constantine von Antonio Joli zur Versteigerung kam. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Capriccio With The French Ambassador Approaching The King Of Siam’S Palace In A State Barge, In October 1685, Featuring The White Porcelain Pagoda, From Nanjing, China, On The Left im Oktober letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.300.000,00 (€ 3.321.924,70).
