In June 2015 Sothebys in New York held the auction Master Paintings, which included the work Rome, A View Of The Tiber With The Castel Sant'Angelo And Saint Peter'S Basilica by Antonio Joli. The »bidding war« ended at USD 670,000.00 (€ 600,681.37), 68% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Antonio Joli have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Capriccio With The French Ambassador Approaching The King Of Siam’S Palace In A State Barge, In October 1685, Featuring The White Porcelain Pagoda, From Nanjing, China, On The Left in October last year with an auction result of USD 3,300,000.00 (€ 3,321,924.70).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 670.000,00 (€ 600.681,37) und damit 68% über dem oberen Schätzpreis.
