Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Florence, A View Of The Ponte Santa Trinita And The River From The Lungarno Guicciardini by Antonio Joli was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2018, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 200,000.00 – 300,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 150,000.00 (€ 168,182.98). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Antonio Joli achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Capriccio With The French Ambassador Approaching The King Of Siam’S Palace In A State Barge, In October 1685, Featuring The White Porcelain Pagoda, From Nanjing, China, On The Left in October last year with an auction result of USD 3,300,000.00 (€ 3,321,924.70).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Florence, A View Of The Ponte Santa Trinita And The River From The Lungarno Guicciardini von Antonio Joli im Juli 2018 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 150.000,00 (€ 168.182,98) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Antonio Joli erzielen.
