Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The death of Sapphira by Antonio Gionima was sold in the Old Master & British Drawings & Watercolours auction at Christies in London in July 2017. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 8,750.00 (€ 9,763.66). Admittedly, works by Antonio Gionima have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Esther Obtains The Punishment Of Haman From King Ahasuerus in January 2007 with an auction result of USD 72,000.00 (€ 55,393.14).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The death of Sapphira von Antonio Gionima wurde im Juli 2017 in der Auktion Old Master & British Drawings & Watercolours bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 8.750,00 (€ 9.763,66) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Antonio Gionima auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Esther Obtains The Punishment Of Haman From King Ahasuerus im Januar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 72.000,00 (€ 55.393,14).
