This price was achieved in the auction Dipinti e Sculture del XIX e XX secolo at Il Ponte and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of EUR 500.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Antonio Fontanesi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Capanna: A woodland hut in January 2009 with an auction result of GBP 67,250.00 (€ 75,700.89).
