Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Tanzio da Varallo achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in December 2020. In the Italian Drawings From The Robert Landolt Collection auction, the work Study of two arms (recto) and two legs (verso) (i); Study of a hand (ii); and Study of a hand (iii) sold for GBP 3,250.00 (€ 3,630.54) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tanzio da Varallo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ecce Homo in February 2018 with an auction result of USD 250,000.00 (€ 204,733.44).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
