A top price for Tanzio da Varallo - as previously expected
In February 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction Master Paintings Evening Sale, which included the work Ecce Homo by Tanzio da Varallo. The price achieved of USD 250,000.00 (€ 204,733.44) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Ecce Homo is the most expensive artwork by Tanzio da Varallo that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Februar 2018 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Master Paintings Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ecce Homo von Tanzio da Varallo zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 250.000,00 (€ 204.733,44) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Ecce Homo das teuerste Kunstwerk von Tanzio da Varallo, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
