In July 2011 Christies in London held the auction Old Master & British Paintings - Day Sale, which included the work The Madonna and Child by Antonio del Massaro da Viterbo. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 37,250.00 (€ 42,749.95), 24% above the upper estimate.
