Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2020 Sothebys in New York held the auction The Collection of Mr. and Mrs. Bertram R. Firestone, which included the work Fishing Boats In The Harbor by Antonio Cirino. The price achieved of USD 5,292.00 (€ 4,516.13) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Antonio Cirino - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Rockport Autumn, which sold at auction in September 2005 for USD 15,600.00 (€ 12,937.47).

Firestone durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fishing Boats In The Harbor von Antonio Cirino zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.292,00 (€ 4.516,13) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Antonio Cirino mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Rockport Autumn beobachtet, die im September 2005 für USD 15.600,00 (€ 12.937,47) versteigert wurde.
