In August last year Bonhams in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Boats Rendezvous (Boats Haven) by Antonio Cirino. The »bidding war« ended at USD 5,100.00 (€ 5,067.06), 70% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Antonio Cirino - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Rockport Autumn, which sold at auction in September 2005 for USD 15,600.00 (€ 12,937.47).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 70 % übertroffen
Im August letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Boats Rendezvous (Boats Haven) von Antonio Cirino zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 5.100,00 (€ 5.067,06) und damit 70% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Antonio Cirino mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Rockport Autumn beobachtet, die im September 2005 für USD 15.600,00 (€ 12.937,47) versteigert wurde.
