Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Senza titolo by Antonio Calderara was auctioned at Christies in Milan in December this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 2,142.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Antonio Calderara achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Spazio Luces N° 34 in November 2019 with an auction result of EUR 125,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Senza titolo von Antonio Calderara im Dezember diesen Jahres bei Christies in Mailand versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 2.142,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Antonio Calderara erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Spazio Luces N° 34 im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 125.000,00.
