This artwork by Antonio Allegri achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in December 2018. In the Old Masters/New Scholars: Works of Art Sold to Benefit Rugby School auction, the work Studies of three angels in flight sold for GBP 248,750.00 (€ 277,129.56) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Antonio Allegri achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Saint Mary Magdalen reading in January last year with an auction result of USD 5,319,600.00 (€ 4,744,559.40).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Antonio Allegri erzielte im Dezember 2018 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Masters/New Scholars: Works of Art Sold to Benefit Rugby School wurde die Arbeit Studies of three angels in flight für GBP 248.750,00 (€ 277.129,56) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 120.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Antonio Allegri erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Saint Mary Magdalen reading im Januar letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.319.600,00 (€ 4.744.559,40).
