In May 2008 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Sale Evening Session, which included the work Vecinos by Antonia Eiriz. The result of USD 6,000.00 (€ 3,856.04) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Antonia Eiriz have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work En la coba in November 2003 with an auction result of USD 20,315.00 (€ 16,936.22).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Mai 2008 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Sale Evening Session durch, in der auch die Arbeit Vecinos von Antonia Eiriz zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 6.000,00 (€ 3.856,04) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Antonia Eiriz auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit En la coba im November 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 20.315,00 (€ 16.936,22).
