Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Miner with a Machine Drill by Anton Van Wouw was auctioned at Bonhams in July this year. The price achieved of EUR 89,300.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 70,000.00 – 100,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Anton Van Wouw - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Hammer Worker, which sold at auction in March 2021 for GBP 200,250.00 (€ 235,242.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Miner with a Machine Drill von Anton Van Wouw kam im Juli diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 89.300,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 70.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Anton Van Wouw mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Hammer Worker beobachtet, die im März 2021 für GBP 200.250,00 (€ 235.242,17) versteigert wurde.
