This artwork by Anton Schranz achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in September 2016. In the Brian Sewell - Critic & Collector auction, the work View of the Port of Corfu from the Island of Vido, with peasants and goats resting on the shoreline in the foreground sold for GBP 17,500.00 (€ 20,267.17) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Anton Schranz - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A British East Indiaman And Other Ships Entering Corfu Harbour, which sold at auction in May 2007 for GBP 36,000.00 (€ 52,976.44).

Für andere Arbeiten von Anton Schranz mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A British East Indiaman And Other Ships Entering Corfu Harbour beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für GBP 36.000,00 (€ 52.976,44) versteigert wurde.
