The work Austrian An Der Tränke (The Watering Place) by Anton Romako was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2009. The result of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 16,415.57) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Anton Romako - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Austrian ungarischer Bauernhof (Hungarian Farm), which sold at auction in June 2010 for GBP 49,250.00 (€ 59,892.58).
