Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Death Of Procris by Anton Mirou was sold in the Old Masters Day Sale auction at Sothebys in London in July 2017. The price achieved of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 27,896.16) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Anton Mirou - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscape with a view of Bad Schwalbach in the Taunus, which sold at auction in July 2021 for GBP 94,500.00 (€ 110,820.84).
