Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of Philipp Daniel Lippert (1702-1785), half-length, in a green robe and white night-cap, holding a coin by Anton Graff was sold in the Old Masters Part II: Paintings, Sculpture, Drawings and Watercolours auction at Christies in London in December this year. The price achieved of GBP 12,600.00 (€ 14,514.72) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Anton Graff achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Group portrait of the daughters of Johann Julius von Vieth und Glossenau: Juliane Corline, Edle von der Planitz (1752-1832), Sophie Juliane Elisabeth, Gräfin d'Agrollo (1748-1832) and Juliane Charlotte, Gräfin von Todtleben (1754-1840), half-length in December 2002 with an auction result of GBP 111,150.00 (€ 170,620
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait of Philipp Daniel Lippert (1702-1785), half-length, in a green robe and white night-cap, holding a coin von Anton Graff wurde im Dezember diesen Jahres in der Auktion Old Masters Part II: Paintings, Sculpture, Drawings and Watercolours bei Christies in London versteigert.
