The work Christ praying in the Garden of Gethsemane by Anton Dorph was sold in the Paintings, furniture and varia auction at Bruun Rasmussen in March this year. The »bidding war« ended at DKK 14,000.00 (€ 1,878.77), 40% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Anton Dorph - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work “Parti i et Fiskerleie ved Øresund”, which sold at auction in June this year for DKK 28,000.00 (€ 3,758.97).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 40 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Christ praying in the Garden of Gethsemane von Anton Dorph wurde im März diesen Jahres in der Auktion Paintings, furniture and varia bei Bruun Rasmussen versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von DKK 14.000,00 (€ 1.878,77) und damit 40% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Anton Dorph mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit “Parti i et Fiskerleie ved Øresund” beobachtet, die im Juni diesen Jahres für DKK 28.000,00 (€ 3.758,97) versteigert wurde.
