A top price for Antoine de Lonhy - as previously expected
In July 2017 Christies in London held the auction Old Masters Day Sale, which included the work Saint John the Baptist presenting a kneeling female donor – a fragment by Antoine de Lonhy. The result of GBP 60,000.00 (€ 66,950.79) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Saint John the Baptist presenting a kneeling female donor – a fragment is the most expensive artwork by Antoine de Lonhy that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Juli 2017 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Masters Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Saint John the Baptist presenting a kneeling female donor – a fragment von Antoine de Lonhy zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 60.000,00 (€ 66.950,79) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Saint John the Baptist presenting a kneeling female donor – a fragment das teuerste Kunstwerk von Antoine de Lonhy, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
