Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Antoine Coypel achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in January 2011. In the Old Master Drawings auction, the work Study For The Funeral Of Pallas sold for USD 158,500.00 (€ 115,566.90) - well above the upper estimate of USD 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Antoine Coypel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Allegory Of Music (A Portrait Of Mme. De Maintenon With The Natural Children Of Louis Xiv) in January 2015 with an auction result of USD 1,565,000.00 (€ 1,386,182.46).
Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Allegory Of Music (A Portrait Of Mme. De Maintenon With The Natural Children Of Louis Xiv) im Januar 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.565.000,00 (€ 1.386.182,46).
